3.Baby Einstein Activity Jumper
I don’t think baby Einstein can ever go wrong. My three kids grew up on him. And this activity toy is no exception. With 3 activity stations incorporating 12+ activities and a light up piano they will be on their way to being baby geniuses.
Parents also like that the piano has 4 stations, one of them being beginning languages in both English and Spanish. Parents also comment on how easy it is to adjust, and that their babies spend hours of fun with Baby Einstein and his Friends.
Looking at it myself and from a parent’s perspective, the only thing I don’t like about it is that it doesn’t have a bottom; therefore, your own floor has to be clean all the time. However, the actual learning tools and toys are far superior and so is the price.

5.Baby Einstein Neptune’s Ocean Discovery
Move over Nemo! You have some competition in town! Baby Einstein does it again with his Neptune ocean discovery, jumping has become educational and wildly colorful fun!
I’m a little biased when it comes to Baby Einstein. When my 3 children were babies I always checked what Baby Einstein had out first before checking other markets because they always included learning stimuli with their toys. I felt stimulating the brain was equaling important to stimulating the body. If you could do both at once I was even more sold.
Get ready for some marine fun as your baby spins 360 degrees, with 15+ toys and 4 head height settings. The sea turtle activity center helps baby learn colors and number in 3 languages, flash cards are included, a mirror, and so much more to help baby’s motor skills while he or she jump to lights and music strengthening their body and mind.

6.Creative Baby Safari
This adorable jungle adventure will keep child busy for hours. I’m happy to see that its been JPMA certified and has an adorably large lions head that back the music tray which is removable.
Some moms were happy with the same cup holder tray, a lot of baby jumperoos don’t have them. Lightweight, easy to move. Smaller size. Every baby loves this one, especially how bouncy it is. Unlike others where the jumping stimulates the bouncing, on this one buttons do, so parents control the noise.
For the price, this is one I would definitely invest in or give as a baby shower gift. Sometimes it’s the unknown that sneaks in from no where and wins the race. Creative Baby is a new company to me, but their wonderful toy has appealed to all the customers who have bought this entertaining apparatus for their babies, and for the price perhaps you should too.

7.Luv U Zoo
This is a very colorful 360-degree spinning entertainer. It has a zoo full of vivid colors and sounds and music upon baby’s bounce. Also, 3 height adjustments are available which easily adjust as baby grows.
Made with the purpose of jungle and zoo fun, everywhere the baby looks, there is something for the baby to do. Additionally, the seat pad is washer and dryer safe.
I want to be able to rave about this adorable and colorful zoo toy from Fischer Price. They tried to compete by adding cute things that babies would enjoy. However, just looking at the steel- framed design and hearing every customer complain about the product being wobbly, Fischer-Price needs to recall and redesign this one product.

|Medium priced high|
8.Colorful Carnival Space Saver
Where Fischer-Price failed on the last product, they are making up in spades on the carnival space saver. Gender neutral designed, light weight, sturdy frame that amazingly folds up, so parents can take it with them anywhere, very portable.
This would make an excellent addition in one’s home or as a baby shower gift with such features as: jumps are rewarded with lights, sound, and music; light up musical piano; 4 position height adjust; and machine washable seat pad, just to name a few. This is definitely one to consider with the unique space design.
This puts Fischer-Price back in my good graces with this adorable design and frame build of this toy. I will happily give up a little spring in place of wobbliness, especially if my baby is loving the toy and all its attributes anyway. The price is sensational.

To be honest here, some babies don’t want all the bells and whistles. They just want the stimuli of jumping and developing the balance and strength in their bodies more. My first child was like this. We had to buy her just the jumper in which she literally spent hours in it and cried when we took her out she loved it that much. When we finally took her out, she was ready for bed. It was the best investment ever; she learned everything from inside that jumper.
This is designed for easy storage by just folding it and putting it away. You can also take your baby outside to let her get some fresh air and sun exposure and practice walking some from within the frame. Also designed with baby’s spine in mind so seat and frame are built for safety and security. Jump away baby.
For what it is designed to be, this is a nicely designed, safe, portable, toy that will give your baby hours of jumping fun. Get out your video tape and record them jumping and laughing away.

10.Evenflo Exersaucer Baby Door Jumper
This style of jumping entertainment was exactly what I had. Convenient because it clamped right onto any interior doorway 3 inches to 6 inches thick with a trim at least ½ inch wide. Most houses or apartments come with this type of crown molding and mine did at the time. This framed seat, up to 25 lbs., move to every room I am in, companion toy was perfect for me.
Amazing value for children 4 months to 9 months ish. Depending on how fast your baby grows, parents rave about how much their baby loves this toy and design, but they seem to out-grow it fast especially if they grow tall wise; it’s not a problem with weight at all. However, for the amazing low price and how much their babies loved it, they would buy it over again.
I didn’t have this brand, but I would agree with parents, “you can’t beat the price for how much the baby will love it.” Your baby will still have months of jumping entertainment and build those muscles & motor skills even if they out grow it sooner than expected. It will still be a great investment.

Buyer’s Guide: Making the Right Jumperoo Investment for Your Baby
Whether you are having your first child, or you are a seasoned parent, you want to ensure that the money you invest on your children’s toys especially the larger purchases are encouraging proper growth and development in your child. There is a plethora of choices out there for jumping toys, and many are specializing in some areas, and many range in price. Before purchasing what can be a high-end toy, parents need to be aware of the choices, make the decision of their purpose, and their intended budget.
If all you want your baby to do, or all your baby wants to do is jump, two options are available: Stationary and Frame Clamp design. If your baby wants to be stimulated by toys, music, lights, etc. then you want to look at Stationary Activity design. All three have different purposes, prices, and designs which will be discussed.
What to Look for In Jumperoos
Stationary Frames are designed for those active babies who are just delighted by the sheer activity of jumping. The Seat should have high spinal cord support, and the side straps adjustable for baby’s height. Parents like these because they fold up easily and can be transported both inside and out.
Framed Clamp Design are similar to the Stationary Frames except that the bouncing seat attaches to almost any framed wall available. Again, parents should look for supported seats and adjustable straps. Parents like this one because it is easily mobile from room to room or carried with them in the car to another destination.
Stationary Activity Design
Because these are so complex, there is a more in-depth list of what parents should look for in these exercise activity toys.
- Head adjustability: almost all of these rotating saucers have a head support that grows with your baby but check how many times it adjusts.
- Weight: safety is your number one priority. Too many accidents happen because babies are too big or to small for these toys. Most times the maximum weight limit is 25 lbs. Check the weight limit on all toys.
- Footed Bottoms: some designs come with a saucer type bottom included, some have baby jumping on floor. This is just a personal preference.
- Seats: parents need to check the seats to see if they are washable, adjustable, padded for comfort.
- Toys: This may be the deciding factor in buying the proper design. Generally, babies are ready for this at around four months old. As their parent you get to decide what kind of lights, music, sounds, design, teething toy, bead toy, piano toys, toy that teaches languages, detachable toys, etc. that suits your baby best. Read carefully all the different choices out there carefully; you want to get the most out of your money, and here could be one of the biggest decision points for you as a parent. Do you want toys that teach fine motor skills, or linguistic skills in addition to physical skills as well? Or is your baby going to lose interest with too much activity going on?
The best advice I can give for parents making this investment is to wait until they have met their baby and know what he or she will like best before making the right baby jumperoo purchase. After all, you are going to have months of fun with your baby jumping and playing if you do.
Frequently Asked Questions About Baby Jumperoos
Is the Door Frame Baby Jumperoo Safe?
While I personally couldn’t get my eldest out of her door frame jumperoo she loved it so much, parents should know some door frame jumperoos have been recalled. Some of the doorway jumperoos have proven to be more dangerous than others because the plastic clamps that attach to the doorframe have snapped, causing babies to take a tumble. Therefore, when buying a doorframe Jumperoo investigate the clamp material and weight allowance to make sure your baby enjoys it as much as mine did.
Also, door frame jumperoos allow for a lot of free range of motion. They swing from side to side making it very easy for a baby to hit his or her head on a door frame. For this reason, we recommend using this style of jumperoo on double doors, French doors, or open floor plans with semi-lowered ceiling room dividers from which to hang jumperoo from without fear of it hitting anything from its side.
Are stationary baby Jumperoo safe?
On the majority, the major brand-name baby jumperoos have proven to be quite safe. However, any jumperoo that has exposed springs are traps for babies’ fingers, and babies should always be strapped securely in the seat to prevent slipping out of the device. Other than that, the jumperoos are safe.
At what age can I put my baby in the baby Jumperoo?
Typically, babies can begin using their Jumperoos around the ages of 3-4 months old. In most cases, 4 months old is the ideal age. Parents want to make sure your infant is strong enough to hold his/her own neck and head up without support and put their own weight on their legs without their knees buckling before attempting to use the Jumperoo.
Do Baby Jumperoos helps with baby’s development?
Jumperoos encourages bouncing movement which helps with the development of motor skills. This will strengthen their leg muscles which will help prepare them for the walking stage. However, bouncing to long, babies start pointing their toes which delay walking, so parents shouldn’t allow babies to bounce longer than 30 minutes at a time.
Other development tools some jumperoos have are toys and gadgets that help babies develop fine motor skills and hand-eye coordination.
How long can a baby be in a Jumperoo for?
Experts say that the development of fine motor skills is critical at this age. If babies jumperoos lack these kinds of activities, limit jumperoo time between 30 min and two hours a day total. Again, my eldest stayed in her doorframe one for a few hours at a time bouncing like a crazed monkey, and I assure you she turned out just fine, master’s degree and all.
When should a baby stop using a Jumperoo?
Most jumperoos are designed for babies up to 12 months old. By the time they are walking and running around, it’s time to let them get their exercise the natural way. However, if you have a smaller infant who still wants to play and jump, there’s no set rule that says, “You must stop using at 12 months.” There is, however, a weight limit of 25 lbs., and your child could injure him or herself attempting to bounce after exceeding the weight limit.
Is it Ok for a baby to sleep in a jumperoo?
No, babies should not be left to sleep in any kind of jumperoo because their breathing airways might become blocked or restricted. This is true about any baby device like a car seat or highchair. Once baby is fallen asleep, they should be moved to their bed or sleeping area where proper airflow is manageable.
What is the weight limit on a jumperoo?
The average weight limit for all jumperoos is 25 lbs. Attempting to jump when exceeding this weight can cause serious injury to your baby, so as tempting as it may be, or no matter how much fussing takes place, it won’t compare to the amounts of screaming and hassle of a hospital trip.
Are Baby Jumperoos Healthy & Safe for Your Baby?
If you scanned through the internet, you might find several articles all telling you why exercycles, jumpers, and jumperoos were all dreadful and damaging to your baby. However, if you read each and every one of the articles, they all admit that moderation is the key, which if you asked me, is true about everything. The point these articles are trying to make is that parents should limit the amount of time babies spend in the jumperoos because certain developmental delay could happen with extended use.
Safety Concerns that Could Happen include:
The way your baby is sitting, or the positioning of your baby in most jumperoos has them mostly leaning forward and putting weight on their tippy toes. This added weight puts stress on ankles joints and leg muscles that run from ankle to knee. The child’s positioning could decrease glute muscle strength and cause a child to start walking on his toes delaying the natural developmental process. If a baby is spending equal time or more time holding mommy or daddy ‘s hand and practicing to walk flat-footed, this can reverse the learned behavior of the jumperoo.
Development of Core Muscle Groups
Experts are concerned that the more time babies are in their jumperoos and play saucers, the less tummy time they are receiving. Every pediatrician encourages new moms to ensure plenty of infancy tummy time which helps develop core stomach muscles and arm and leg motor skills. Floor time is what helps babies learn to roll over, crawl, pull themselves up, and ultimately walk which is why floor and tummy time is crucial. However, that doesn’t mean your little one can’t have some fun in his jumperoo either.
Again parents, when reading these articles, please pay careful attention to the words “may cause” and “possible chance” and that is only with extended use of a toy. What could happen, is that the children’s items with a molded seating system, which spreads their legs apart cradling a partition, place the baby’s hips in an unnatural position, and in the long run, over a long period of time, an unhealthy one. If a baby’s legs stay in this position for an abnormally long period of time, it could put natural hip development at risk
The biggest drawback of the doorframe jumperoo is if you have an overly active baby. These jumperoos swing from side to side and it is very easily possible for the baby to bump and crack their very tender heads. I would only recommend this kind if you had French doors or an open floor plan that had a ceiling wall divider at the top. I lived in a 1920’s bungalow at the time my eldest was born that had a 20ft partition that was perfect for this type of jumperoo; otherwise, I wouldn’t have considered it because she jumped like a circus aerial star having no fear.
The biggest downfall is parents who rely on these handy little items too much and that’s where the developmental issue can come into play. At this young, a baby’s brain is just learning how to communicate with other parts of the body on how to move and react. Leaving them in a jumperoo too long is training the baby’s brain to communicate, react, and learn improperly which is the cause for late development. By restricting their natural movements, parents are preventing baby’s brains from learning proper communication and reaction and development.
The benefits of jumperoos
More than anything, jumperoos benefit mommy and daddy more than anybody else. Yes, they do provide limited exercise and some fine motor skills, and hand-eye coordination games for baby, but not any more so than other toys out on the market. Their biggest convenience is being able to place the baby in a safe fun spot that will keep him or her entertained for a few moments while the parent can quickly get something done around the house. (Don’t be embarrassed, every parent is guilty of this.)
Like everything else, moderation is key. If you decide that a jumperoo is a must have item for your household, remember that there is such a thing as too much of a good thing. Even if your baby wants to spend four hours in his jumperoo, as a parent, it’s important to set ground rules early on. You wouldn’t let your baby eat four gallons of ice cream even though they taste yummy, and you don’t feel like cooking dinner. The same principle holds true with the jumperoos. Just because they want to and it may be convenient, does not mean it is always the best choice for them, so use your best judgment and follow the above guidelines, and you will have a happy, healthy and safe baby.
